The Zafraan Ensemble is looking forward to the Festival Mixtur in Barcelona, where it will present works by Josep Planells Schiaffino, Rebecca Saunders, Stefan Keller, Carola Bauckholt, Joel Järventausta and Seán Ó`Dálaigh on April 21, 2018.
At this year’s Festival Mixtur, the Zafraan Ensemble will play the pieces Hammer by Stefan Keller and Cavall by Josep Pianells Schiaffino, works by this year’s lecturers Rebecca Saunders, Carola Bauckholt and Alexander Schubert as well as premieres by the young composers Joel Järventausta and Seán Ó`Dálaigh from Finland and Ireland.
In addition, on April 22, 2018, the double bassist Beltane Ruiz Molina and the saxophonist Martin Posegga will pass on their experiences and knowledge to workshop participants in a reading session at the Festival Mixtur.
