On Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 8 p.m. at the Gare du Nord Basel: Spanish new music with pictures by Luis Ángel Prestell.
This program by the Zafraan Ensemble with Manuel Nawri, closely related to “Palimpsesto”, is dedicated to a young generation of Spanish composers such as Alberto Posadas, Hèctor Parra, Elena Mendoza, Juan María Cué and Mauricio Sotelo, who with their sound-sensitive and at the same time very energetic music in the has attracted more and more attention in recent years.
During the concert, reflections by the painter Luis Ángel Prestell will be seen, whose works created especially for the concert – in keeping with the music – open doors to the inner world. His ideas are conveyed primarily through mystical shapes and calligraphic elements. The beauty of the images invites you to reach the world of ideas and enter into an intimate conversation about what you see and hear.
