On September 29th from 10:00 a.m. we will celebrate the premiere of LOG BOOK, which we developed together with François Sarhan during our ACUD series at the Festival Musica in Strasbourg. Look forward to a very different breakfast experience and play our new LOG BOOK game with us!

We are really looking forward to the premiere of LOG BOOK at the Festival Musica in Strasbourg on September 29th at 10am! The 4-hour sound experience offers the opportunity to reflect on events that affect us all in a playful and fragmentary way.
Since September 2019, François Sarhan had the idea of creating a solid diary/notebook. It is not a diary in the sense of a “journal intimate” (there is nothing private in it), but a logbook, like that of a captain on a ship noted the events of the day.
The material is either voices, his own, his surroundings, conversations, radio snippets, stolen conversation fragments, field recordings, jingles, personal compositions, found footage (commentaries on events, field recordings of protests, etc.), weather forecasts, graphic scores, transcriptions of (famous) songs, etc. The conclusions and statements of LOG BOOK do not seek heroism, do not seek to provide definitive answers to eternal questions. LOG BOOK is interested in the forgotten, the very small, the unusual (like Georges Perec). Ultimately, it’s about making sense of the situation we Europeans find ourselves in right now through these micro-events. These snippets are adapted depending on the performance location so that the project always maintains its relevance to the place/language/culture.
