The Zafraan Ensemble will play works by Sven Daigger as well as pieces by Beat Furrer, Enno Poppe, Wolfgang Rihm and Conlon Nancarrow on April 20, 2018 at SWR NunMusic in the Ravensburg Concert Hall. In addition, Zafraan will give an insight into his current rehearsal work in a workshop concert at Berlin's Radialsystem V on April 17, 2018.
“Strom”, “painkiller”, “hunt” – the titles of Sven Daigger’s compositions speak for themselves, they get down to business. And it’s certainly not wrong if you imagine the composer, born in 1984, as a motorist. He is an early riser anyway and is the proud owner of a Bahncard 100 and therefore has a lot of opportunity to travel. In addition to his own works, this portrait concert with Enno Poppe, Beat Furrer and his teacher Wolfgang Rihm contains important reference points for the composer. The American Conlon Nancarrow becomes an artistic relative as the composer of mechanized high-speed.
In addition, the Zafraan Ensemble presents an excerpt from its concert program in a workshop concert at Radialsystem V in Berlin before its guest performance at SWR NunMusic.
