The Zafraan Ensemble is pleased to introduce the young composer Michaela Catranis in its Takeoff series. The Audio Walk will take place on June 26th, 2020 at 8:30 p.m. in the WABE. Unique listening experience guaranteed!
Friday June 26th | 8.30 p.m.
honeycomb | Danziger Straße 105, 10405 Berlin
As part of its “Takeoff” series, the Zafraan Ensemble invites the young composer Michaela Catranis to present herself in the form of a feature. Based on the radio format, text, interviews and music are assembled to present biographical, creative and inspiring things. In her work, Michaela Catranis explores the boundaries between music and other disciplines, using technology and different art forms to expand her acoustic core.
In view of the current hygiene and distance rules, the program she curated will be presented in a special, site-specific concert format. The audience, equipped with headphones, moves outdoors and listens to a live stream of the concert from the honeycomb. Like a peep box, the listeners get a poetic insight into the musicians’ production with dance, light and projection inside the honeycomb through small windows and are sent on a hike through the urban space – accompanied by the music.
