Beltane Ruiz Molina stands out as one of Europe’s most versatile and dynamic double bassists, effortlessly bridging a vast repertoire that spans from the rich textures of Renaissance music to cutting-edge contemporary compositions.
Deeply grateful for the transformative guidance by double bass giants: Rinat Ibragimov, Esko Laine, Janne Saksala, Uli Fussenegger and David Sinclair, she has since collaborated with the most prestigious modern orchestras and conductors across England, Germany, and the Netherlands.
In 2010, In 2010 she founded together with her colleagues the self-organized Zafraan Ensemble in Berlin. A few years later, she became member of Ensemble New Babylon in Bremen.
Since 2015, Beltane has passionately devoted herself to bringing early and contemporary works to life on an extraordinary range of bass instruments: G violone, D violone, Viennese bass, 4- and 5-string romantic and modern basses with gut and metal strings.
As a key figure of Anima Eterna Brugge and Apollo Ensemble,
where she leads the bass section and plays an integral role in shaping their artistic vision.
In 2020, she settled her roots in Hoorn (NH), where she launched her own intimate concert series—crafting a warm and inspiring space for music lovers.
