The Zafraan Ensemble, in cooperation with the Embajada de España en Alemania, invites you to a talk with some of the present composers at 6h30PM and to the concert which follows at 7h30PM at the Kühlhaus Berlin on November 11!

The international cooperation between the Zafraan Ensemble from Berlin and the Taller Sonoro collective from Seville aims to intensify cultural relations between the two cities through the prism of contemporary music. Last year, the two ensembles held their first workshop and concert in Seville; in the 2024/2025 season, they will meet again, this time in Berlin, for a second concert to honor the path of those Andalusian composers of our generation who have already contributed so much to Berlin’s cultural life.

This second concert is intended to be an encounter with the Berlin audience. The musicians will open the doors of their “workshop” for rehearsals that are accessible to the public. Prior to the concert, at 6h30PM there will be a presentation at which some of the composers will be present and can explain the path from the initial idea to the final rehearsal. After the concert, which starts at 7h30PM the audience is invited to talk to the musicians about their impressions.

We cordially invite you to discover works by Elena Mendoza, Lula Romero, Alberto Carretero, Alberto Posadas, Nuria Nuñez Hierro, Irene Galindo Quero and Josep Planells and to enjoy a glass of wine with the musicians and composers present after the concert.
