On July 14, 2013, the Zafraan Ensemble and Manuel Nawri will make their China debut with a concert at the Central Conservatory of Music Beijing.
The concert with works by Johannes Schöllhorn, Tristan Murail and Gérard Grisey also opens the Beijing International Composition Workshop 2013, to which Zafraan was invited this year as an ensemble in residence.
As part of the workshop, young composers from all over the world have the opportunity to work with renowned composers and lecturers such as Prof. Zhou Long, Prof. Dieter Mack, Prof. Luca Francesconi, Prof. Chen Xiaoyong, Prof. Manuel Nawri, Prof. Xu Shuya, Prof . Jia Guoping and Prof. Guo Wenjing to work together.
